This could be the beginning of the end of "Britain in Europe".

Our financial institutions are New York’s only rival. Europe must not be allowed to hamper them!




This is a truly brilliant article!
The headline from our beloved chancellor reads more like a defensive position. His party allowed this situation to arise and I predict they will do nothing but talk about it instead of salvaging it.
We don't want a Frenchman who despises the "Anglo-Saxon" model to interfere and ruin the City. I find it incredible that the UK now doesn't have ultimate control over something that generates so much money for the country.
Yellow streak Brown sold us out to the French and the Germans and now his stooge from no 11 is praying that they won't ruin one of our few remaining major industries.
If it wasn't so tragic it would be funny.
Well dumbledorf Darling, we know full well who did it, and we won't forget. Now, where's that referendum your lot promised me?
