He has my utmost sympathy - I cannot imagine the depth of their loss. Call me hard-hearted and cynical and give me all the red arrows you like, but no one will convince me that this wasn't just a blatant publicity stunt in an attempt to show us he is human.
Maybe he should have used his emotions when we were losing so many soldiers because of his cutbacks in defence. This may sound harsh, but if you ask the parents of the soldiers that died through inadequate defence in war, they would tend to agree with this.
If he had shown his emotions when people have committed suicide because of crippling debts caused by him, maybe it would be different.
I sometimes wonder what this country ever did to deserve such an arrogant, incompetent, lying, authoritarian, prude as our prime minister, but if people are actually swayed by seeing him shed tears in front of Piers Morgan then I guess I've got my answer. However I will not be swayed by the yellow streak Browns' efforts to regain the upper hand in the sympathy stakes. Had this interview taken place without a General Election in the offing I would have been less cynical.Yellow streak Brown's fightback has reached the lowest of levels. As for smearing Cameron about his appearing with his son, whilst yellow streak Brown hasn't, is irrelevant. Cameron has not done 'the sob' story complete with violins. He has dealt with the loss of his son in an admirable way and no doubt in private he too has shed a tear or two with his wife but not on a live TV show.
