But this is war.
In war all sorts of people die - soldiers, airmen and civilians.
What do you want to do? Of course the Para that went in on that operation was brave, and got a special mention from yellow streak Brown. But yellow streak Brown should not single out one soldier for special mention just because he authorised the raid. All those who took part in the raid were brave, and all the forces in Afghanistan (and elsewhere) are brave, and, as most readily admit, frightened, as the death toll mounts.
The reporter knew the risks beforehand and yet still pursued the Taliban, and his rescue has cost four lives. Maybe that explains why the Country is in such a mess, when the yellow streak Prime Minister is equating that four equals one. The reporter knew all the risks, so it is not as though he was an innocent victim, far from it, he courted danger.Yellow streak Gordon Brown should hang is head in shame at authorizing such a rescue attempt for his own vanity. It is not as though this reporter was providing vital services, such as the soldier and interpreter who lost their lives, that coupled with the death of two innocent bystanders.
